The Dialogue
The story began with a message from Lid Law to Anton Kraft, the founder of 01theone watches, on Facebook.
Despite the dislike of writing endlessly on the net, Anton was intrigued by Lid Law and his enthusiasm for the watches of 01theone.
They kept in touch for about 2 weeks, when Anton asked Lid Law what he is actually doing for a living.
He is a musician he said.
The Present
Anton sent a few watches to Chicago for Lid and his friends as a gift,
and did not expect to hear again from the musician after that.
But much to his surprise he received a message from Lid Law thanking him for the watches and stating that this was the first time that he
"has been given a present without being handed the bill at the same time"
A statement that Anton referred to his whole life long.
Feeling overwhelmed by this coincident, Anton wanted to get to know more about Lid Law,
who was recording for the upcoming release of his first album at that time...
The Present LL
Two weeks past when Lid Law sent Anton an email with 2 songs especially made for 01TheOne watches.
These Old-School Hip-Hop songs wowed everyone in the office in Germany, but Anton wanted to make sure that Lid knows that the watches he sent weeks before were a present and that he did not ask for anything in return.
Lid Law’s answer was: "Don't worry, next week you will get a video as well!"
The Surprise
Overwhelmed by something so special as these songs from some stranger far away in the U.S. got us at 01TheOne thinking.. It did not take a second before we decided to collaborate with Lid Law, and promote his new album spreading the word about this absolutely unique story in the music business.
The Beginning
Both parties are putting all their energy in this project and are investing their time and knowledge to help each other, but not to gain money from it. Their reward is the positive feedback they get from the crowds and that is exactly what drives them on to continue their work..
The Event
